Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA) in English

Jesus Christ is "the Way, the Truth, and the Life" (John ) and He invites us through His Church to enter into His Life, obey His Truth, and walk with Him on the Way.

Whether you are curious, discerning, or determined to live your life as a Catholic, you are welcome to attend OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation for Adults).  If you are a baptized Catholic looking to receive sacraments of initiation, you are welcome!  While the name of the catechesis has changed over the years, its teachings and pattern is as old as the Church itself.

In OCIA, the class walks together through God's unfolding plan of salvation; how Jesus Christ, the second Person of the Trinity, fulfills and transcends the old covenant promises and prophecies; how Our Lord establishes His new and everlasting covenant in His Church, who continues His mission through proclaiming the Good News and dispensing His sacraments; and how you, His chosen beloved, is part of God's great plan.

Come and see.  Let's walk the Way in Truth that leads to Life eternal.

Order of Christian Initiation for Adults, adapted for Children (Our Lady of Guadalupe’s Garden)

"Jesus said, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of Heaven.'" (Matthew 19:14). In following the words of Our Lord, the Church welcomes and serves all children.

OCIA adapted for Children, under the title Guadalupe's Garden, is appropriate for children ages 7 to 16 who are either unbaptized or who were baptized in a Trinitarian form outside the Church.  This special program prepares a child for their sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist), celebrated at the Easter Vigil Mass.
